The Frozen Sea
These images result from a residency at Brison Veor in Cape Cornwall and are a response to the place. I was drawn to the wave forms and the idea of the sea containing and giving up allegorical objects such as flowers, animals and figureheads. The image of the waves becoming stilled and frozen has haunted me from a young age and this body of work explores its atmosphere and symbolism.
